DARK FUNERAL‘s black metal isn’t that charming for those who dislike the genre, but on the other hand it drew a small army to Vagos for the first time. The Swedes brought along a new work, “Where Shadows Forever Reign”, but what they did not bring was their instruments – Brussels Airlines took an “offensive note” from Heljarmadr for losing the band’s luggage.
All six albums were remembered that night – the title-track of the debut album “The Secrets Of The Black Arts”, released 20 years ago, welcome with special warmth – and the posture with which they did so proved to the most skeptical that a black metal band as headliners wasn’t such a bad idea after all.
