Brazilian CRYPTA stormed the stage – literally. What a smashing show! It wasn’t the first time of Fernanda Lira (vocals/bass) and Luana Dametto (drums) in Portugal, having played here with NERVOSA, but it was CRYPTA‘s first gig in our country, and Fernanda stated how happy she was for finally bringing here her current band.
Nowadays, with so many strong female names in the world of metal, it shouldn’t matter mentioning that this is a death metal band formed only by women; but given the surprise caused by their creative talent in the studio and the demolishing posture on stage, yes, it does matter mentioning the musicians gender. Maybe because of that, Fernanda dedicated “Kali” (the Hindu goddess of power and destruction) to all women attending Vagos. But also the men went ballistic with that and every other song off the debut album “Echoes Of The Soul”, and also the new single “I Resign”.
