In 1982, Spike Cassidy and Kurt Brecht founded a crossover band, in a time where this genre was taking its first steps. In 2022, Vagos checked-in at the tour celebrating those 40 years of DIRTY ROTTEN IMBECILES. As a matter of fact, touring was something they never stopped doing – much due to Cassidy‘s fight against colon cancer – even if their latest album, “Full Speed Ahead”, had already reached a beautiful age as well (27 years). Rumor has it that they’re working on its successor, but the most recent songs in the set list were “Who Am I” and “I Don’t Need Society”, off the split EP they released along RAW POWER back in 2001 (“The Dirty Rotten Power EP”). Not that it made much difference – this is the kind of music that never grows old, and new songs or 30-year-old songs have always the same impact (and feedback) when played live.
