» Up next was MALEVOLENCE‘s death/doom. The band from Leiria hasn’t released anything new since 2005 (“Celebration Of Dysfunctional Becoming”), but they’re working on it at the moment – a new album will be recorded by the end of this year and out in the stores in 2012. Their 17-year-old career must have also weighed on the decision of including them on this year’s bill.

One of the first themes was “Dominion Of Hate”, from the much acclaimed (on an underground level) demo “Pleasure Of Molestation” (1994).

“So that our flame never goes out in Portugal” was how Carlos Cariano introduced “Oceans Of Fire”.

Standing out among other songs we heard that afternoon there’s “Hunters Of The Red Moon”, “Equilibrium In Extremis” and the “very known track” (according to Cariano‘s words), “A Shinning Onslaught Of Tyranny”. «
