I’ve lost count of how many bands drummer Luís Moreira is involved with, but apparently he still managed to add SOLLAR to his portfolio and The Skull Room Rockfest was his premiere. And just like in any other of those bands, his performance was faultless, as if he had taken part in the original recording of the tracks from “Translucent” that they played that night.
It was the only band I had the pleasure of seeing before so I knew what to expect: the firmness in Mary Ann‘s voice, the dexterity of all strings combined… and the good spirits they always express and spread to the public. Something else that made me smile was seeing someone checking with Mary Ann the address to one of their social media accounts the singer had just announced – I like to witness “the birth of new fans”.
