It’s weird talking about ENTOMBED covers done by ENTOMBED A.D. – especially when it’s L.G. Petrov singing them – but that doesn’t mean it’s not true. And even if I have nothing against Robert Andersson (or whoever is currently in charge of ENTOMBED vocals – seems like things are a bit messy over there…), it just wouldn’t feel right listening to “Wolverine Blues”, “Eyemaster” or “Left Hand Path” sung by other than Petrov. Judging by the response to such covers, I’d say the big majority shared my opinion. Not that the originals were less welcome – “Dead Dawn”, “Midas In Reverse”, “Fit For A King” or “Torment Remains” (these last two featured in “Bowels Of Earth”, which would be released the following month) endorsed a spirited mosh.
Petrov said a few greetings and introduced a couple of songs, but since there was someone in the band who spoke our mother tongue – the Brazilian guitarist Guilherme Miranda – it was him who did most of the talking.
