TARANTULA @ Vagos Open Air, 2013/08/10

JM» The WEB gig was so good that the more traditional heavy/power metal of TARANTULA took a while to sink in, sounding weak in comparison. Still, everyone raised their fists in the air around the second song (“Afterlife”) and sang background vocals.

More than once singer Jorge Marques said that it was an honour to be there in that “fantastic” festival, with such a “fantastic” crowd, and that Vagos Open Air couldn’t die. His insistence in the subject even raised questions about the future of the fest being at risk…

The beginning of “The Nature Of Sin” was the moment chosen for the repeat-after-me ooooooohhhhhhhhs, and right afterwards the sing-along in “You Can Always Touch The Sky” also pinpointed a hightlight of this gig, although the latter was lightyears away from TARANTULA‘s best… «
