Hailing from Heredia, Costa Rica, CORPSE GARDEN presented us with a loud and quality death metal gig, promoting their debut album “Burnt By The Light”. No one knew the songs – I doubt that anyone even knew the band at all – but the kids’ aggression and fierceness were contagious and soon the mosh circles were pumping.
There was some problem with the bass, but hey – what’s an underground concert without technical problems?
Singer Christopher de Haan introduced most of the songs, but I didn’t pay much attention as I had shot the setlist. Big mistake! The set was hand-written. And the red lights didn’t help either. Anyway, I think they opened with “Echoes Of Death” and closed with “Architects Of Deception” (which was released as single last year).
