HardMetalFest, happening in Mangualde, is Portugal’s oldest metal festival – and the first to be held each year. For several reasons – most of them involving my day job – I’ve missed more editions than I’ve attended, but as INFRAKTOR were closing this year’s bill, I had to find the time.
It was ungodly late when they got on stage (3 a.m., maybe?) and even if many left after headliners XENTRIX (great show, by the way), a substantial lot stayed to see my boys. XENTRIX themselves were amazed – especially with “that drummer!” – and were happy to take a pic backstage.
Working on the follow-up to “Exhaust”, they’ve introduced a new song, “Marked To Be Forgotten” which they dedicated to Miguel, who was on another army mission (that’s why you see Ricardo on the bass and not him). 2020 took an awful turn south, but I can’t complain about how it began.
