If you only know D.A.D. for their 1989 hit “Sleeping My Day Away“, you really don’t know what you’re missing. Still it was a positive surprise to know that so many people here enjoy their music, to the point of having to change their gig to a bigger venue when the original one sold out so fast (the fans in Lisbon weren’t so lucky, as it also sold out but the promoter didn’t manage to change the location).

“A Prayer For The Loud” had been released in May, and even if the crowd sang the new songs living up to the adjective in the title of the album, it was the oldies that caused the biggest thrills. It still gives me goosebumps recalling the heartfelt emotion which we joined the Binzer brothers with on “Laugh ‘n’ 1/2”.
