Talking about national crust/grind and not mention SIMBIOSE is almost an heresy, and it was precisely them who represented the genre in this year’s edition of the festival. “Acabou A Crise, Começou A Miséria” or “Modo Regressivo” are just two among the many that made the crowd brawl and jump frantically (remember, it’s crust – the songs aren’t long enough to start a proper mosh pit).

In “Será Que Há Morte Depois da Vida?” (is there death after life?) it was impossible not to remember and pay tribute to the late Bifes, who’d died the previous year in a motorbike accident. Johnie took the chance to introduce their current bass player, João Lavagantes.
