Original Portuguese version on World Of Metal.
A few minutes to nine in the evening and we could still hear MR. MOJO soundcheck behind the closed doors of Hard Club’s Room #2. I can’t remember the last time that a show ran late in this venue and I thought that night would ruin the statistics, but I was wrong, The Braga quartet finished whatever they had to finish right on time for the ticket booth and doors to open at 21:00, as scheduled.
Their debut album “The Dealer” saw the light of day in January and they played it in full, plus three songs I assume to be older (“Dope” is, for sure, featured on the self-titled first EP; “666 – Calma” and “Undercover”, though, I can’t find on any recording, but it seems too early to introduce new songs already).
I didn’t choose the expression “saw the light of day” randomly; seeing light – of day or of any other nature – was something that did NOT happen in this gig. A shame, as given the movement in the silhouettes, the musicians’ facial expressions should be something worthy to see as well. On the other hand, it’s the music that matters and when it comes to that, MR. MOJO‘s performance was faultless.
