I didn’t stay for the SYSTEM OF A DOWN cover band ABAIXO CU SISTEMA (yes, I know they prefer the term “tribute” to “cover” but if your band plays covers, whether the original songs are from one or several bands, you’re in a cover band. Besides, if you’re getting money to play those songs, I can’t really see the tribute in it – even if you’re supposed to be paying copyright royalties). Nothing against it, I was just too tired (and not exactly the biggest fan of SOAD). So let’s take a look at what happened on the third day of Vagos Metal Fest 2018.

It kicked off with an “old school metal band” of Luxembourg (although singer Hugo Nogueira Centeno is either Portuguese or of Portuguese descent, hence his ability to address the crowd in the local language with a perfect accent). LOST IN PAIN‘s third full-length record had been released in April that year, and even though I’m not aware of the gig’s setlist, I’m pretty sure they’ve played its title-track “Gold Hunters”. Cool show.
