“Seriously? Another band named after Tolkien?” was my first thought when learning about the bill, I must confess. The Dutch symphonic black metal band has been around for quite a while, but since the genre is not exactly my favorite cup of tea, it sometimes takes me some time – almost 15 years, in this case – to acknowledge such greatness. Songs such “When Crows Tick On Windows”, “Charles Francis Coghlan”, “Blood Queen” or “Bloodstains On The Captain’s Log” were simply enthralling and screamed-along by most of the crowd. Will try to be a part of that choir when CARACH ANGREN play in Vagos this summer.
