MOONSPELL finally – using their own expression – played in Vagos and had the honor (also Fernando Ribeiro‘s words) of closing this new festival. And as they wanted to present something special, besides the fireworks gushing off the stage, they invited Mariangela Demurtas Amorim (TRISTANIA) to sing “Raven Claws” and Rui Sidónio (BIZARRA LOCOMOTIVA) – covered in black vinyl and introduced as “just a friend” – for “Em Nome Do Medo”.
Fernando mentioned some of the bands they’ve shared that stage with, apologizing to all the others he left out, and when referring (twice) to the “great HELLOWEEN“, he confessed he hoped for MOONSPELL to be able to play like that when reaching their age. It’s been almost 25 years – more if we count with the MORBID GOD era – and for what I’ve seen, including at this Vagos Metal Fest, I’d say they’re on the right path to fulfill such wish.
