The clock struck a few minutes after 17:30 when MISANTROPIA started playing “Butterfly Disease”. The audience was scarce, but it wasn’t that bad for a Sunday afternoon.
One could sense singer Pepper was somewhat nervous, but after two or three songs she seemed more at ease. The same can be said of the rest of the musicians, who made a mistake at some point – the song suffering “a hiccup” – but they fixed it without a fuss, showing a professional self-control.
Even without a moshpit, the crowd’s reaction was positive to this young band (they’ve been together for little more than two years). Songs such as “Ode ao Nojo”, “Grind Down White Pride” or “Animas Ingratos” were welcomed with screams, applause and banging of heads in half an hour of pure crust/grind.
