Original Portuguese version on World Of Metal.
The doors were supposed to open at six-thirty, but there was a little delay; REZET, on the other hand, started their show on schedule (seven sharp), meaning that only a few enjoyed the first chords of “Treadmill To Hell”. Which was sadly expected, anyway, at such hour on a working day. But little by little more people arrived and that thrash – typically German – conquered the audience to the point that the band which Ricky Wagner founded back in 2004 felt like they were playing for a full-house. So I believe Wagner was genuinely happy to play in Portugal for the first time.
“Deal With It!” had been released in February and half of the set list was in order to promote it; the other half covered almost the rest of their discography – a highlight on the big “fuck you” sent to all racists with the song “Reality Is A Lie” – and proved that pure thrash is what they’ve always done and will always do.
