HAMMERFALL @ Vagos Metal Fest, 2017/08/13

Original Portuguese version on Glam Magazine.

As WHITECHAPEL anticipated their exit, HAMMERFALL did the same with their entrance and “Hector’s Hymn” echoed around 22:30.

The Swedes’ debut album “Glory To The Brave” celebrates its 20th anniversary this year but unlike some bands they didn’t play it in full; they went for a medley, followed by the title-track, heartily sung-along by the crowd, whom Joacim Cans addressed to as “Vagos’ Templar” and asked several times, rhetorically, if they lived for metal.

Being the headliners, they were entitled to a 3-song encore: “Hammer High”, “Bushido” and, as expected, “Hearts On Fire”.
