Compared to what came next, though, those circles were child’s play; the level of adrenaline rose up several grams and its effect was much more violent, even if not necessarily aggressive. Of course there’s always someone who takes more seriously Max Cavalera‘s motto “let’s break this fucking thing up” but there was no severe casualties during SOULFLY‘s gig – just incarnations of “We Sold Our Souls To Metal”, which the Brazilian-American band performed in the beginning of the show.

Jorge Ben‘s “Umbabarauma” was introduced as part of SOULFLY‘s history, as well SEPULTURA‘s “Refuse/Resist”. The latter must have an even more special meaning for drummer Zyon Cavalera as it’s his heartbeat, still in his mother’s uterus, that we can hear in the original version of the song.
