It’s true that SOLLAR, as a band, are quite new (2016) and have released just one album (“Translucent”), so playing at the Porminho stage might have been a surprise to many. But the experience of their members and the more eclectic sound (a whole variety of alternative and prog rock strands) may justify a bigger stage and a thicker crowd. The intense melodies of “Translucent” or “Primal”, framed by the steady and enthralling voice of Mariana Azevedo, lingered in the ears of the majority of said crowd. I didn’t see drummer Eduardo Sinatra jump off his seat as he does in the video “Royal Flush”, but Mariana danced with a sparkling mantle, like wings, on “Naked”.
