DARKWATERS warmed up for Tó Pica on the latter’s presentation of his solo album in Porto last Friday. They also have a new album, “Odds And Lies”, released in October, so it was a presentation gig for them as well. A group of hardcore fans/friends had come along from their hometown São Pedro do Sul, who sang along enthusiastically. To the rest of the crowd, DARKWATERS was clearly a novelty – although it seems some recognized singer Sérgio Lucas from Idols, or The Voice, or whatever vocal-talent program he participated in – but they let themselves be carried away by the high spirits and prime heavy metal the band shared with them that night. “My Way” was my favorite.
