I was 12 when I got seriously into hard rock and heavy metal. JUDAS PRIEST was the “classic” band I most liked – much more than IRON MAIDEN, for instance. But it was also by then that Rob Halford left, leaving me thinking that I would never see the “real” PRIEST machine on stage. When 11 years later they reunited and the 2005 Reunion Tour hit my country, I can’t remember when I started to count down the days till that concert ![]()
In 2009 they came back with their Priest Feast, and tomorrow they’ll say goodbye to the Portuguese fans in what will be their last tour. K.K. Downing and Glen Tipton have always been my favourite guitar-duo, and as K.K. won’t be here this time, the following pics mark the moment when, without knowing it then, I already said goodbye to the “Metal Gods”. Still I’m pretty sure I’ll have a couple of tears in my eyes tomorrow…
