Considered by most as the “5th element” of The Big Four of Thrash (by many the 4th, even, instead of ANTHRAX), EXODUS proved to be worthy of such consideration.
In this other band of Lee Altus, his replacement was Brandon Ellis, from BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, but no matter how good he stood, all eyes were on the return of charismatic guitarist Gary Holt – it was a whole other relish listening to songs such as “Blacklist”, “Bonded By Blood” or “Strike Of The Beast” with him back in charge of those six strings.
It was on the classics they focused mainly, but took the chance to remember they had released a new album the previous year, “Persona Non Grata”, kicking off the set with “The Beatings Will Continue (Until Morale Improves)”. The difference between them and the headliners was simply the hour they got on stage and the amount of time they remained on it.
