UBUREN @ Vagos Metal Fest, 2022/07/28

Original Portuguese version written for Glam Magazine.

The headliners of the first day weren’t the only ones playing black metal – also from Norway, and listing DIMMU BORGIR as one of the bands that most inspired them to follow the same path, UBUREN set the main stage of Vagos in motion. A less melodic path, but not as raw as the traditional black metal, that both bass player Bior Kjetilson and his brother, the guitar player, Ask Kjetilson give voice to songs about Vikings and Nordic mythology. “When The River Breaks” was released in 2020 but it’s still the only known track “to be featured in the upcoming album” (as introduced by Bior), which will follow the third “And The Mountains Weep”. A great concert with a matching response from the audience.
