After a two-year break forced by the pandemic, Vagos Metal Fest returns to Quinta do Ega and LYFORDEATH had the honor of “initiating hostilities”. Kicking off earlier than in previous editions (ten minutes to four p.m.), there was a larger number of people attending – many to watch the performance of the authors of “Nullius In Verba”, some because they simply wanted to enjoy every minute of the comeback of what’s considered the best metal festival in the country.
The melodic thrash/death – somewhat somber – of LYFORDEATH, sung in both English and Portuguese, was very well received by their “brothers” (that’s how singer Gil Dias addresses the audience), with a set-list which included the latest single “Heritage” – already released in 2000 but.thanks to COVID, it hadn’t much live exposure yet.
