Original Portuguese version on World Of Metal.

The only stoner/doom band on the bill was saved for the opening of the last day. BASALTO got on stage with a ten-minute delay but they got off it at the same time all others did on that slot – and given the average length of their songs, they must have played four of them. But as we usually say, “quality over quantity”, and within the genre, there’s no much better than the act from Viseu around here. Their discography rounds up three albums and an EP, mainly instrumental, and the titles of their tracks are simply Roman numerals, in the order they’re listed in said works. Guitarist António Baptista (and occasional singer) thanked the few people attending for being there at that hour, under that sun, but their performance was certainly worth it.
