Original Portuguese version on World Of Metal.

Every time I’ve seen ORPHANED LAND (and this makes it half a dozen), Kobi Farhi has always moved suitably to the rhythm of his songs, but I got the feeling he danced more smoothly tonight. Even with nothing new to show (if you don’t count the 4-song EP released in 2021, from which they’ve only played the title-track “We Do Not Resist”), this is the kind of band that’s always a pleasure to see live and that fits in any festival, given the Middle East flavor their melodies bear and to which no one remains indifferent. Belly dancers were a no show, but “beer belly dancers”, as Kobi put it in “Sapari”, there were plenty of them.
Constantly at war in their country, Kobi says he admires our history a lot, for our “silent revolution”, with no blood shed (the 25th of April in 1974) and that he loves Zeca Afonso, fado… and MOONSPELL. He got a loud applause for this – the national pride in each of us always shows with this stuff – but songs such as “The Kiss Of Babylon (The Sins)”, “All Is One” or “Brother” got the loudest ovation. Louder still was probably the finale, “Norra El Norra (Entering The Ark)”, where everybody moved their arms in the air and sang the chorus in a great party.
