On the very day their sophomore album is released, MOONSHADE get on stage at Laurus. It wouldn’t make sense for this to be the official release party of “As We Set The Skies Ablaze” but they took the chance to premiere some tracks such as “Artemis” and “Valley Of Dying Stars”, these wrapping up the gig and featuring special guest BLAME ZEUS–Sandra Oliveira. In early June, they had already performed “Blood Of The Titans”, “Epitaph” and “Everlasting Horizons” at Metalpoint, but for many in this crowd they were debuts as well and proof that the excellent reviews which preceded the album release weren’t exaggerated at all.

Generally, melodic death metal works pretty well live, but MOONSHADE‘s posture give a special touch to their concerts and therefore it’s always a pleasure to see them. And a stage that big gave more room to Ricardo Pereira‘s wanderings and even the string-trio swapped positions several times, which is not very usual. I hope to see them on big stages more often.
