16 years had gone by since STRATOVARIUS‘ last show in Portugal and Timo Kotipelto himself admitted that was way too long. Given the several line-up changes in the band, he asked us – in that still flawless voice of his – to show what we were capable of to those members who were visiting our “beautiful country” for the first time (meaning drummer Rolf Pilve and guitarist Matias Kupiainen, since bassist Lauri Porra had played here with SINERGY in 2003). And we didn’t miss a tone or word in songs such as “S.O.S.”, “Black Diamond”, “Forever”, “The Kiss Of Judas” (my all time favorite) and, closing with a golden key, “Hunting High And Low”.
